Velociraptor was a swift, intelligent dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous, about the size of a turkey. It had feathers, a long tail for balance, and a curved, retractable claw on each foot used to slash prey. Though often portrayed larger in movies, real Velociraptors were small but likely hunted in groups and showed bird-like behaviour.
