Plesiosaurus was an early Jurassic marine reptile, not a dinosaur, known for its small head, long neck, and broad, flat body. It used four powerful flippers to “fly” underwater like a sea turtle. Plesiosaurus likely hunted fish and squid, using its flexible neck to strike prey. Fossils suggest it lived in shallow coastal waters.
