Henn Railway: Gateway to Tomorrow

Atmospheric exterior visualization for Henn's landmark railway concept in Germany.

Overview

The Brief

Architectural competitions often hinge on atmosphere. For this railway building in Germany, the challenge was to depict a structure that felt established and historic yet functional for modern commuters. We created a comprehensive 3D environment, focusing on how light interacts with the intricate masonry and how the public engages with the space, delivering a visual narrative that brought the architect's blueprints to life.

About this project

We worked with Henn to visualise a railway-building concept that merges antique grandeur with modern transit, delivered as high-fidelity exterior CGI. This is concept architectural visualization.

How does concept CGI help win architecture competitions?

Speed is the whole game. Competition and concept work runs on deadlines nobody can move, so the value of CGI is measured in days: this railway-building concept went from Zenixspace's brief to four finished exterior views in five days, with two revision rounds. At concept stage the images defend an idea, not a specification, so the time goes into mood, scale and one memorable frame. A jury remembers one image; the other three exist to prove the idea holds from more than one angle.

Our workflow for complex exteriors prioritizes geometric accuracy followed by atmospheric layering. We ensure the architecture stands out while blending naturally with its environment.
