Project

Our own concept for galleries and artists: a room built to disappear behind the work, walkable with no app and no headset.
A physical gallery is limited by wall length, opening hours and the city it stands in. This one is limited by none of those, which makes restraint the whole design problem: neutral surfaces, controlled light, nothing in the architecture that argues with a canvas hanging on it. Built in 3ds Max and WebGL, it is the virtual culture format we sell.

An interior render flatters the space. A gallery render has to flatter the work hanging in it, which inverts the usual job: an even wash on the walls, no hotspots across glazed pieces, no colour cast that would misrepresent a painting to someone judging it from a screen. That is where the 28 days went, along with keeping the scene light enough to open on a phone.
