Private Residence: Where Dreams Take Shape

Overview

The Brief

This project showcases our technical workflow in creating photorealistic exterior renders. The goal was to visualize a modern private residence with complex geometry and extensive landscaping. By utilizing advanced 3ds Max modeling and Corona Renderer lighting techniques, we bridged the gap between concept and reality. The resulting images demonstrate how precise texture mapping and atmospheric lighting can lift architectural presentations.

About this project

We turned 2D CAD drawings into high-end exterior visualizations for a modern private home in California, with the focus on realistic light and material. This is exterior architectural CGI work.

How long do exterior renders of a private house take?

Ten days, in this case: 12 exterior views of a California home for JPW.London, with four revision rounds inside that window. As a rule of thumb, a single hero exterior of a house lands in about a week and a full set in about two. What stretches a schedule is rarely render time; it is unanswered questions, which is why we lock geometry and camera before any lighting work starts.

Technical Workflow

We follow a linear yet flexible pipeline. From white-box massing to the final composite, every step is checked for quality to ensure the architecture is represented accurately.
We analyze CAD files and mood boards. We identify key viewing angles that highlight architectural features like cantilevers or large glazing. This ensures we capture the best side of the building.
